What Art has to do With It

Talking about being in the process is hard

Over the last few weeks I have started to confront all sorts of little things here and there that turned into big things because I ignored them

Life is like that. Sometimes we are so busy chasing dreams, we forget that we grow and change in the process

Being ok with who we were is how we become who we want to be, it is how we trust ourselves enough to take risks. Otherwise we are too busy trying to pretend that everything is just fine. We are fitting in.

Art can be a gateway to the next step on our journey - which was never meant to be linear, but a meandering investigation of what catches our interest in the moment.

Art can’t be rushed, just like a cake, it takes the time it takes. There is a lot of things about that fact that are hard for me cause sometimes I do not have the patience for the oven to preheat, let alone bake the cake.

The big lessons for me:

  • Success does not look the way we think it looks - the responsible platform may be the launching pad for your dreams

  • Art shows up in many different ways, and it can be a part of our lives whenever we are ready to welcome it

  • Transforming systems requires vulnerability and safety. If safety cannot be found in our culture we need to learn to create it within ourselves.

What dreams do you harbour that are waiting for you to breathe life into them again?

Who do you want to be in this next moment? Let me know below
